Transferring Ownership of Parcel 165 and the Dam to the LBWID

The Board of Directors of the Lake Barcroft Association (LBA) and the Trustees of the Lake Barcroft Watershed Improvement District (LBWID) are recommending transfer of LBA’s ownership of the Dam and the land it sits on (Parcel 165) to the LBWID, the Dam operator and easement holder. The main objectives of the transfer are: (1) to reduce/eliminate the significant liability exposure that LBA has as title owner of the Dam and Parcel 165; and (2) to facilitate potential sources of governmental funding for the upcoming Dam Embankment Armoring Project by the LBWID.  The Lake Barcroft homeowners be asked to vote on this important issue of transfer of ownership later this year. Prior to the vote, virtual information sessions will be held to answer questions related to this issue.  The Zoom link for each virtual session will be shared with the community a few days in advance of
each session. Please note the date of these public information sessions on this topic:

  • Past session – Tuesday, October 1st, see Constant Contact message dated October 4th for link to watch recorded video
